Waiting right at the precipice

An inmate named Gemmei has a chance to put her life on a better track after being transferred to Hibiya Correctional Facility, a low-security prison allegedly designed to hold less violent offenders. However, even though the walls that held her inside are no longer visible, there are still many obstacles preventing Jemmy from returning to the world she once took for granted. Chief among them is Houzou Hakkyou, a special tattoo that every prisoner in the system receives, altering their thoughts and feelings through enforced sedation.The curse imposed by Hakkyou ensures that the prisoners are submissive and docile, but as Gemmei discovers, cruelty comes from more than just emotion.
