Meghdoot Part-5 - Megh Ka Sandesh (मेघ का संदेश)

जहाँ एक ओर यक्ष की पत्नी, यक्ष की प्रतीक्षा में अपनी पलकें बिछाए बैठी हुई है, वहीं दूसरी ओर यक्ष, मेघ को प्रसन्न करने के प्रयास में लगा हुआ है। वह कैसे भी करके अपनी पत्नी को अपना सन्देश देना चाहता था, जिससे उसकी पत्नी की चिन्ता समाप्त हो सके और यक्ष का कुशलक्षेम पहुँच सके। मेघ की स्तुति करने के पश्चात यक्ष, मेघ को अपना दूत बना लेता है और सन्देश भेजने के लिए सबसे पहले मेघ को अलकापुरी तक जाने का और अपना घर ढूँढ़ने का मार्ग बताता है।

Meghdoot Part-4 - Path Pradarshan (पथ प्रदर्शन)

एक ओर यक्ष अपनी पत्नी को सन्देश भेजने के लिए मेघ को मनाने में लगा हुआ था और दूसरी ओर उसकी पत्नी विरह में व्याकुल हो रही थी। सौभाग्य से उसकी सखियाँ उसके इस दुःख को बाँटने के लिए हमेशा उपलब्ध होती थीं अन्यथा एकान्त में यक्ष की पत्नी अपने प्राणों का त्याग कर सकती थी। 

यक्ष की प्रतीक्षा में अब तक कई माह गुज़ारते हुए उसकी पत्नी की काया क्षीण होने लगी थी। उसके होंठों का रंग फीका पड़ गया था। उसने बाल सँवारना बन्द कर दिए थे। लगातार रोने के कारण उसकी आँखें सूज चुकी थीं और उसके चेहरे पर बाल बिखरे हुए रहते थे। यक्ष की पत्नी ने अपने आभूषण त्याग दिए थे और उसके चेहरे पर आँसुओं की धार के निशान बन गए थे।

Meghadoot Part-3 - Yaksh ki Patni (यक्ष की पत्नी)

यक्ष ने जैसे ही मन्दिर में प्रवेश किया, वहाँ ईश्वर की मूर्ति देखकर उसे एक युक्ति सूझी। यक्ष पहले से ही मूर्तिकला में निपुण था। उसने सोचा कि अगर वह अपनी पत्नी की मूर्ति बनाना शुरू कर दे तो उसका समय बहुत ही आसानी से व्यतीत हो जाएगा।

 

इस तरह यक्ष ने जंगल से थोड़ी-थोड़ी मिट्टी लाना शुरू कर दिया और प्रतिदिन वो मिट्टी को गीला करके उसके कंकड़ इत्यादि निकालने लगा।

Meghadoot Part-2- Yaksh ki kala (यक्ष की कला)

Kuber's capital Alkapuri was considered to be the most beautiful of all the regions on earth. Beautiful and large gardens, happy subjects, huge palaces with pavilions decorated with many gems used to enhance the beauty of Alkapuri. A Yaksha lived in Alkapuri. Kubera hired him to fetch golden lotuses from Mansarovar everyday for worship. That Yaksha loved his wife very much. He was so engrossed in the love of his wife that he did not care about anything else. to know more tune into this episode.

Meghdoot Part-1 (यक्ष को देश-निकाला)

In Satyuga, when the tyranny of a rakshasa named Vritrasura (वृत्रासुर) increased too much, Devtas went to the refuge of Brahmaji and tried to find a solution. To this, Brahmaji said, 

“Devas! Go to a maharishi named Dadhich (दधीच) and ask for his bones. He’s a very pious man, he won’t say no to you.”

Drinking of the Ocean

Suryadev used to revolve around Mount Meru at the time of rising and setting. Seeing him do this, Mount Vindhya said to Suryadev, “Suryadev! You revolve around Mount Meru daily. Please revolve around me too.”

 

Suryadev answered, “Vindhya! I don’t do it willfully, but because this path is decided by my destiny.”

The Rising of Mount Vindhya

In the last episode of Agastya Katha, we got to know about the condition of Agastya Muni’s ancestors, the birth of Lopamudra and the wish of Agastya Muni. The next part of this tale is quite interesting. 

 

To fulfil the wish of his wife, Agastya Muni was out seeking wealth. First he went to King Shrutarva because he thought that the king was quite wealthy. The king welcomed him with due respect and asked him the reason for his visit.

There are many stories in our Puranas and Granthas which describe the power of penance performed by Rishi-Munis. Many Rishis were able to perform outstanding deeds due to this power. Once, there was such a rishi named Agastya. Worried about his marriage, he created a wife for himself in a weird way. He freed the world from the atrocities of Ilvala (इल्वल) and Vatapi and did many more astonishing things with his limitless power of digestion. All such doings of his blend together to form a very interesting tale. We have named this tale, Agastya Katha.
