"The BJP had won big in the recently concluded State Assembly elections. However, the BJP seems to be on the losing end in the bypolls being conducted on 5 seats: 1 LokSabha seat and 4 Assembly seats. On all the five seats Opposition parties are leading. These elections were conducted in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar and Chhattisgarh. The highlight seat in all the 5 seats is Asansol where Shatrughan Sinha is leading with a margin of more than 3 Lakh whereas BJP's candidate Agnimitra Paul is trailing with 2 Lakh votes.
