श्रमात् ऋते प्राप्तं न एष्टव्यम्

'श्रमं विना निश्शुल्कं यत् प्राप्येत तत् न स्वीकरणीयम् । भगवान् हस्तपादं यत् दत्तवान् तस्य उपयोगेन जीवनं चिन्तनीयं, न तु निश्शुल्कं प्राप्यमाणस्य स्वीकरणे प्रवृत्तिः दर्शनीया' इति मातुः वचनानुसारं काचित् बालिका गुजरातप्रदेशे रविशङ्करमहाराजेन वितीर्यमाणं गुडं न स्वीकृतवती । बालिकायाः वचनम् आश्चर्येण शृण्वन् रविशङ्करः बालिकया सह गृहं गत्वा स्वाभिमानपाठं बोधितवतीं मातरं दृष्ट्वा नमस्कृतवान् । (“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”) "Anything that is obtained without effort and free of cost should not be accepted. The life gifted to us by God, along with our hands and feet, should be used wisely, and not in accepting something for free," said a mother to her daughter.
