Dr. Joseph Murphy (1898 - 1981), who spent considerable time in India learning Hindu philosophy, helped form a new church in America with Hindu ideologies which. later, became one of the largest New Thought congregations in the country. Murphy eventually married, and he earned a Ph.D in psychology from the University of Southern California. He was a prolific writer, and is the author of over 30 books on the occult and Eastern philosophy. In this lecture, Murphy talks about the power of the subconscious mind.
