内容简介： 本书着重研究学习者对限制性搭配（restricted collocations）的使用。限制性搭配是Howarth提出的搭配连续体的四个类别之一，其他三个类别分别是自由组合（free combinations）、比喻性习语（ figurative idioms）和纯习语（pure idioms）。本书有两个主要目的，个目的是尽可能完整、准确地呈现学习者在英语书面语中动名词搭配的使用情况；第二个目的是探究学习者动名词搭配的使用是否以及在何种程度上与四个语言因素相关。这四个语言因素分别是搭配的限制程度、搭配在学习者母语（即汉语）与英语中的一致性、搭配中虚化动词的使用以及搭配在英语本族语者语言中的出现频率。
