Being in a dysfunctional family can make adults and children feel insecure, emotional neglect, abused and addictions. There is a feeling of emotional needs unmet. There is instability in moods and personal disorders.

A family system is complicated. There is also could be toxic ties as one see the relationship in the family as love which makes it hard to break the pattern. These emotions cannot be ignored. As those children grow up in this environment, they struggle to grow into secure adults with high self-esteem and healthy coping skills.
