Exceptionally well put together! As a therapist in training I cannot recommend this book enough. It contains core ideas and tools across different therapeutic modalities that are described accessiblly and you can apply right away!

Although all the self-improvement books it's hard not to sound prosaic, trivial and boring. Dr. Julie sure did well and I found the book useful. Now following in insta and utube, thanks!

If you have never read a single book on self-help and psychology, this one is for you. Overall, it's well-structured and easily digestible. It goes in detail about different mental struggles, offering a host of coping mechanisms and exercises you can do to get some clarity. For me, personally, it did not provide new information but I do appreciate the way the chapters were put together. I think it can be useful for a lot of folks out there who need the basics on how the brain works. Ultimately, no book is useful unless you apply the knowledge you gained to real life.
