Departure of the Perfected One: The Story of the Buddha's Transition from Earth to Nirvana – The Mahāparinibbānasutta

Presenting vivid pictures of Gautama Buddha's life, teaching, suffering, death and subsequent nirvāṇa, the Mahāparinibbānasutta is one of the principal Buddhist texts.
