Pinwheel: A Sci-Fi Action Romance by Snekguy

It is the twenty-seventh century, and humanity has rallied under the flag of the United Nations in order to join the Coalition, a multi-species alliance working together to defend their borders from hostile alien races. The Pinwheel is the largest and most strategically important military space station in human territory, a place where humans and their allies rub shoulders, living and working in close proximity. When Stanley drops out of agricultural college to join the Navy, he's shipped off to the Pinwheel to complete his training as a UNN Marine. There, he meets Raz, an unruly alien who seems more concerned with her own status than making friends with the other recruits. She's big, tough, and more than a little scary, but he'll have to find a way to befriend her if he wants to complete the program.
