Just Patty

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend an all-girls boarding school? How about a boarding school in the early 1900s? Join Patty and her friends in their shenanigans in this classic Jean Webster tale and prequel to When Patty Went to College.

Producer’s note: This audiobook was read from the original text, which was a product of it’s time. When the book was written, it was common in American society to caricature certain ethnic groups for the sake of humor. This type of humor was wrong then and is wrong now, but to remove these inexcusable jokes and harmful portrayals would be equal to pretending that they never existed. Instead, we chose to leave the text in as written, in order to shed some light on the issue, allowing for discussions in book groups and school settings, and hopefully inspire future generations to write with more accurate representation in the future.
