Megarette, the alter-ego of Anna ‒ the exuberant young woman crash-landed on Earth ‒ engages in an uneven fight with a therianthropic giant. The giant bears the mark of a human species thought to have gone extinct thousands of years ago: the Neanderthals! But who are the Neanderthals? Why does the name spur an incontrollable instinct of hate and violence in Anna? The city-island is under attack, and Megarette’s divine force is not enough to fight the multitude of enraged beasts.
