Mikie's Key

When sixteen-year-old Mike Matthews receives a strange silver key from his ailing grandfather, he never imagines it will unlock a doorway to another world.

Beyond the portal lies Preenkon: a planet beneath a crimson sky filled with strange creatures - and an impending threat that could destroy both worlds.

Joined by his shy but courageous friend Hildy, Mike is pulled into an adventure full of ancient portals, magic, and an evil force determined to exploit Preenkon for his own gain. As the danger escalates, Mike and Hildy must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to protect the people they love.

Perfect for readers who enjoy emotional coming-of-age fantasy with mystery, adventure, and heart, MIKIE'S KEY is the first book in the Preenkon Connection series by Ron Montgomery.
