Mistress

In this thrilling mystery, a woman is targeted by dangerous people desperate to conceal a secret tied to the former president of the United States. Recently divorced, Rebecca "Reebie" Mahoney works multiple temp jobs to make ends meet, including writing articles as a part-time reporter. Considering her lack of credentials, no one is more surprised than Reebie when she's contacted by Jeanette Sheldon, a woman claiming to be the mistress of now-deceased President Michael Remington—a woman who supposedly died decades ago. But Jeanette is murdered before she can reveal any more information to Reebie, who is discovered with the victim's body and suspected by the police. Soon, she is being followed and threatened. More killings follow, and Reebie is forced to flee. Powerful forces tied to the government, organized crime—and even Hollywood—all have an interest in what Reebie knows. It seems President Remington had more secrets than keeping a mistress. Secrets that might not only tarnish his legacy—but destroy his family—and Reebie's life . . .
