As I finished the book, it's worth 2 stars. But unfortunately it wasn't a good book. Most of the book doesn't ring true for the time period. Neither in the first nor in this one is a mentioning of the Great War. Furthermore people behave in a way, that is just too modern. A lady visiting a gentleman at his home and the landlady seemingly has no problem with that?!? Just one example. Add the thin story and that most of the time we listen to Hazel Martin thinking which makes it quite boring. Also the author should take note how old her heroine is, in book 1 she is 39, now 38. And so on. I'm not surprised there are not more than two books.
