Raspberry Jam

Raspberry jam unfolds within the elegant backdrop of New York society, centering on the lively interactions between a practical young woman and her spirited aunt, whose fascination with the supernatural challenges reason and propriety. The story opens in their opulent apartment, where a disagreement arises over attending a performance by a famed mind-reader said to possess telepathic powers. This humorous yet revealing exchange sets the tone for a novel rich in contrasting personalities and conflicting beliefs. The narrative explores how curiosity, skepticism, and social convention intertwine within a circle of refined yet restless individuals. Beneath its witty dialogue and light banter lies a deeper reflection on the human desire to believe in what lies beyond the visible, and the tension it creates in a world driven by logic and appearances. With its blend of sharp observation and mild mystery, the novel captures both the charm and contradictions of modern life, where reason and imagination continuously cross paths.
