Welcome to your Voyage Experience guide: ‘Kuala Lumpur and its region’, which we hope will help you discover the capital of this beautiful country. It is very affordable and situated at the crossroads of several cultures, peoples, and religions. The city offers amazing landscapes, exotic cuisine, and exuberant nature In Malaysia, history is surprisingly intertwined with the present and tradition, all infused with a strong sense of modernity. We have been to Kuala Lumpur three times, and on our last visit, in December 2023, we saw a lot of changes. The forest of buildings is denser, but the jungle still breaks through thanks to its vigor in some neighborhoods and its hills and ravines that prevent construction in many places. There are even more shopping malls, getting bigger and bigger, as it is one of the passions of locals and foreign tourists alike. If during our first stay in Malaysia, we were quite impressed, during this last stay, after a month and a half across the country, our feelings were quite mixed, and we will tell you about it as we go along.

A blend of culture, nature, and gastronomy that we have greatly appreciated through several unforgettable trips, and we want to share these experiences with you. We returned to this area and explored it extensively for several weeks.. We added our new discoveries and corrected some information that changed in our guide about Phuket and its region, but we thought it would be a good idea to write a guide specifically about Khao Lak, Phang Nga and the surrounding area because few guides detail them. We really liked it and were happy to be able to come back to discover more!

Martinique is not just an island among others: it’s really an incredible beautiful one! With gorgeous white and black sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters, fantastic snorkeling and diving spots featuring multicolored fish and sea turtles, lush nature, and beautiful flowers… The list is so long that I couldn't even finish it. We spent three years on this paradise island, exploring it from top to bottom. In our opinion, Martinique has the most beautiful beaches we have seen so far (and we have visited several hundred in our travels). You'll find their descriptions in this guide, along with our favorite spots. Maybe this will inspire you to go see these wonders for yourself, selecting the ones that suit your taste. Well, to be honest, in 2023, we discovered some beaches even more beautiful than those you can find in this guide. However, Martinique is an ideal destination if you're seeking paradise beaches without dangers such as sharks, rough seas, or dangerous currents. It offers beautiful natural sites, numerous hikes, lush nature, and gorgeous flowers. Some hikes are truly unique, and various activities await your discovery.

A mix of culture, nature, and history that we have enjoyed very much during several unforgettable trips, which we would like to share with you.

We returned to Phuket and explored the area for a month at the end of 2023, and we still love it. We have included our new discoveries and updated some information that has changed since our last visit to the region.

We will also take this opportunity to prepare a more detailed guide to Krabi and its beautiful surrounding islands, as well as another one for the Khao Lak region, which we will be visiting right after.

Phuket and its region: A pearl of Asia with gorgeous beaches!

We welcome you to your new guide Voyage Experience: « Malaga – City trip in Andalusia ». If you are planning to spend a weekend or a short stay of a few days in Malaga, then this guide will help you discover this beautiful Andalusian city, located between the sea and the mountains.

If you want to go there for one or more weeks, then the guide: « Province of Malaga » in the same collection will be more suitable because it will allow you to discover this magnificent province of Spain, nestled in a stunning natural setting. Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and the sun, this province of Andalusia is a real gem. It does not know winter along its coast with its beautiful beaches (300 days of sunshine per year on average !!!). Malaga is also mountainous in the interior of its lands, where nature and its varied and gorgeous landscapes will surely charm you. Olive and almond plantations as far as the eye can see, white villages nestled on the heights of hills or mountains illuminate remote valleys where the sweetness of life is not just a concept. We have discovered this province during the Covid health crisis because Spain had the wisdom to go back on the first decisions taken in panic.

While in several countries, confinements were imposed, in Spain, the management by the autonomous regions allowed travel within the provinces with open restaurants, museums and other leisure and cultural structures. We had the chance to know the Spaniards in a different light and thus appreciate their joie de vivre. While respecting the sanitary measures, we were able to continue living normally, visiting and hiking freely in nature.

In this short guide, we share with you our discoveries: the superb city of Malaga, but also the picturesque Antequera, Nerja with its exceptional cave as well as other jewels that make this province of the Costa del Sol a destination to be discovered in any season. We spent more than two months traveling it and we will certainly return there as it has captured our hearts.

Malaga: City trip in Andalusia

Know that it is truly worth the trip – even for a weekend – as it is likely the most beautiful in the country right now! Plovdiv will charm you with its unique atmosphere, harmoniously blending the vestiges of the past, the diverse cultures, and the influences of the peoples who have inhabited it for millennia. Its motto, inscribed on its coat of arms, perfectly reflects its distinct character: "Ancient and eternal". We were truly enchanted by Plovdiv, which is both vibrant and dynamic, yet also has a provincial charm, offering a unique quality of life. At the same time, it feels like a place frozen in time, especially in neighborhoods like the old town, where you are transported to a completely different era with its cobbled streets and charming houses. The remnants of the city's long past are scattered everywhere, and you will encounter them throughout your walks. You can find these traces in well-developed and highlighted places, such as the Roman Theater or Stadium, but also in less well signposted areas, like the large complex of ruins near the main post office or the stunning park of Tsar Simeon.

We visited Bulgaria for several weeks by car, but you can enjoy Plovdiv and its beautiful region arriving by plane or bus and then rent a car to get around more easily. This charming city is not heavily overrun by tourists yet and is definitely worth visiting! We will share our discoveries during our road trip, but don't expect to find an extensive list of addresses, as we are passionate travelers and diginomads who love immersing ourselves in the world. We aim to optimize our budget to fully experience each destination.
