Cards on the Table

Fifty years ago, a glittering Hollywood party ended in scandal and murder. The only clue left behind was a single, bloodstained Tarot card.

Now journalist Timothy McShay is determined to uncover what really happened that long-ago summer night. Other reporters have tried before him. One paid with his life. Tim isn’t easily frightened—he has a book to write.

Until a Tarot card appears, pinned to his own front door.

The message is unmistakable: stop digging.

With threats closing in and the past refusing to stay buried, Tim turns to the one man he swore he’d never rely on again—his ex-lover, Detective Jack Brady. Jack isn’t thrilled to be dragged into Tim’s investigation, especially when it’s clear someone is willing to kill to keep old secrets hidden.

As the cards begin to fall, Tim and Jack must confront unfinished business of their own—because this time the stakes aren’t just professional.

They’re deadly.
