Mage Slave

A plot to enslave magic forever…

Enslaved by masters with dark intentions, Miara has been given a new mission: use her shape-shifting creature magic to kidnap an enemy prince. She loathes the idea, and she'll probably die trying, but she has no choice but to pursue her mission.

Her target? Crown Prince Aven Lanuken, heir to the warrior throne of Akaria and also-unbeknownst to Miara-secretly a mage himself. His forbidden air magic has kept him trapped in a shadowy mountain fortress, but his duty to marry is about to make keeping his secret much more difficult. And finding a bride that is an equal, a warrior fit for the throne? That's proving nearly impossible. Part of him simply wants to escape it all.

Miara has never failed a mission before, and she doesn't intend to start now, even if she does find herself drawn to Aven's easy charm. Mage slaves are magically bound to obey their orders, anyway, whether she likes it or not.

But what if the man she's been charged with kidnapping is the key to freeing mages from their enslavement, once and for all?

Magic, politics, love, and fate collide in the destinies of two people in this fantasy adventure from R. K. Thorne. For lovers of swords and sorcery infused with romance, Mage Slave is the first novel in the Enslaved Chronicles trilogy.
