Mortuary

A persistent wound throbs, continuously oozing. Once more, an unfortunate soul is struck down by the railway tracks. Whether human or animal matters not; crows circle while dogs gather. Adjacent to a gutter, a madwoman and a mad world raise their voices in a cacophony. Mainabai disposes of mucus on the road after coughing, a sick woman who's also a prostitute. Her expletives spare no one—men, children, the entire world. Darkness continues its relentless advance.
