Shampoo and Mortar: A Pilot Sitcom

"Shampoo and Mortar" is a British sitcom set in Durham featuring newlyweds Dave Thompson (27), a paranoid bricklayer, and Sharon Thompson (25), a mobile hairdresser. The pilot episode explores themes of jealousy, self-worth, and personal transformation through Jimmy Carr-style observational humor.

Dave's insecurities spiral when Sharon regularly visits Marcus, an accountant with "lovely hair," leading him to suspect an affair. Sharon playfully teases Dave about the situation, helping him realize that being attractive to others is flattering rather than threatening to their marriage.
