The Screwdriver Killer

THE MOST DEPRAVED KILLERS. THE MOST DETERMINED DETECTIVE. MEET DI BETHANY SMITH.

An eye for an eye . . .

A letter and a hand-drawn map arrive at the police station for the attention of Detective Bethany Smith:

Dear Police, I did a vile thing. There's a body at the dot. Have fun working out where that is. Watch your step when you get there. From, Me.

The map leads them to Shadwell Hill. They search the area and find a human-sized mound of dirt. DS Wilkins recognizes the unearthed victim. It's sixty-five-year-old Margaret Allthrop, a minor royal and local celebrity. But her burial was anything but regal . . . One of her eyes has been pulled out and part of her posterior has been sliced off.

Days later, another map and letter are delivered to the station: Dear Police, I did a vile thing again. It's going to be a bit of a habit. You'll need a peg for your nose when you get there. From, Me.

An exhilarating crime thriller with a shocking ending you won't see coming. Perfect for fans of Helen H. Durrant, Charlie Gallagher, Rachel McLean, J. D. Kirk, Steve Parker and J. M. Dalgliesh.
