You picked up this book and started to read it, but why have you chosen this book, and why have you chosen the Asatru religion. Perhaps you know nothing about Norse Heathenry, or maybe you have heard a little about it, and you want to know more. It does not matter why you chose to start this journey; it only matters that this journey is starting. At worst, this book will provide you with a way to live your life that is honorable. At best, you will find a plethora of gods and goddesses that can help guide you through life, rich mythology, and the possibility of magic. Asatru has been around for a long time, and it will continue to be. It was once popular, lost popularity, and is on the rise again. There is a reason it is on the rise again, and it is not by chance that more people are turning to heathenry, though we can attribute it to fate. As with all religions, some will twist the messages contained to fit their own dishonorable needs, and you can find bad apples within any apple cart. Asatru is an inclusive religion, and no one is exempt from practicing it.
