Wyoming Territory, 1872. Albert Binax is living a quiet life as a beekeeper and hired hand.

His peace is disrupted when the family of his former employer, Morris "Moe" Schoenfeld, arrives with news of Moe's disappearance, pulling Binax back into a world he had left behind. He joins forces wth bounty hunter Vincent Clendaniel, famous for apprehending one of the nation’s most notorious criminals.

The two discover Moe's whereabouts, which takes them east in pursuit of his captors. Meanwhile, Binax struggles with his own tendency to use violence to settle matters and Moe's deeply altruistic, non-violent philosophy.

The journey soon takes them to Fayetteville, Arkansas... and towards a confrontation that will change their lives.
