Beyond the image is a book about the biographical triptychon, one of the tools of biographical coaching. It is a way of looking at a life situation through three simple drawings and biographical questions. This allows you to see it in a new light, to gain insight and to find a deeper meaning.

Since the Middle Ages, the triptych has been a widely used art form to tell stories through images. The biographical triptychon is part of this rich tradition.

Beyond the image is designed for biographical coaches, but other coaches can work with it too. And if you want to explore your own life through drawing and questioning, open this book and get to work.

Paula Boon (1961) is a teacher and training coordinator at the Instituut voor Biografiek. She also works as a biographical coach. The biographical triptychon is her speciality and her great love.
