“Oh.” He glanced at his watch, making a show of it. “I hate to say this, but I have an appointment at six a.m. tomorrow and it’s already past eleven…”

“You make appointments that early?”

He shrugged. “The life of a physical therapist.”

Irene reached out and ran her finger along the back of his broad hand and up his muscular forearms. “That does explain the sexy forearms. Is there going to be a second date?”

Michael’s heart was pounding. He didn’t know why. This should have been meaningless to him.

“I don’t see why there wouldn’t be one…”
