As far as NYPD captain William Weigand is concerned, there’s nothing more inconvenient than a murder victim with a name. Prof. Jameson Elwell was a boldfaced name of the first order, a celebrity psychologist who took the unusual step of reporting his own murder. At least Weigand can be thankful that Jerry and Pamela North aren’t involved yet.
