This is H. G. Wells' 1924 biography of Frederick William Sanderson, "The Story of a Great Schoolmaster". Frederick William Sanderson (1857 - 1922) was the headmaster at Oundle School between 1892-1922 and was a an esteemed reformer of education at Oundle and Dulwich College. Wells was a close friend of Sanderson's, and even sent his own sons to his school. Herbert George Wells (1866 - 1946) was a prolific English writer who wrote in a variety of genres, including the novel, politics, history, and social commentary. Today, he is perhaps best remembered for his contributions to the science fiction genre thanks to such novels as "The Time Machine" (1895), "The Invisible Man" (1897), and "The War of the Worlds" (1898).
