News18 Journo Saurabh Sharma Assaulted By Mob For Questioning Loudspeaker At Jagrata, Wife Abused

" On the intervening night of Sunday, April 10, News18 journalist Saurabh Sharma was assaulted in Noida Extension. According to reports, Saurabh had gone to the society to stop the loudspeaker playing in the Jagrata, as it was late at night. When he asked the people of the society to shut down the speaker, people started getting angry and he was pushed. the mob in the jagrata reportedly threatened to kill his family. Saurabh Sharma lives in Oxford Square Super Tech Ecovillage-3, Society of Noida Extension. He called 112 at 11.30 to stop the songs playing on loudspeaker during Jagrata, after which he got a call from the police and he was asked to reach the spot.
