Intern

A politician's secret life unravels, sweeping families, a community, and the media into the scandal in this suspenseful thriller. Senator Eric Barry of Sacramento, California, is respected by his constituents for his leadership qualities and charming personality. But when his young intern April Wayne vanishes, the media coverage puts him in the spotlight and crosshairs of a police investigation. April's mother Gloria claims her daughter called her from the senator's condo where they were engaged in an affair. Teaming up with a journalist who has his own incentives to expose Barry, Gloria keeps her daughter's disappearance in the public eye, demanding the truth from the senator. Suzanne Barry called her husband's condo the night April went missing. A woman she didn't know answered the phone. Eric denies any wrongdoing, asking Suzanne to trust him and put on a brave face of support during his reelection campaign. But as Eric's extramarital behaviors come to light, Suzanne struggles between trying to be "a good wife" and facing the truth about her husband, and what happened to April Wayne. "Engrossing, provocative and haunting, Intern is a riveting combination." —New York Times–bestselling author Mary Jane Clark
