Magic in the Shadows

Maeve Merrit thought her life in London would be quiet after she freed Mermeros, the djinni she found in a sardine can. But Mermeros has different plans. Maeve's friend Tommy, now adopted by Mermeros's new owner, finds himself in danger when his new father uses one of Mermeros's magical wishes — and both vanish without a trace. With no guardian to keep him safe, Tommy is at risk of being sent back to the orphanage.

Now, Maeve, Tommy, and their friend Alice must embark on an epic adventure filled with magic, danger, and flying carpetbags. Their mission: to rescue Tommy's father and the djinni they’ve grown to love. But will they succeed before Mermeros’s dangerous wishes fall into the wrong hands?

Join this heart-pounding tale of friendship, magic, and the fight against dark forces in a story where every wish comes with a price.
