Gavin Jacobs had been Phoebe’s savior at a beachfront party when a frat boy tried to grope on her without permission. The two of them felt an instant connection which led them to a whirlwind romance for the rest of her trip there. When it came time for her to leave, she just couldn’t do it. Acting on a whim, Phoebe moved in with her adorable, shy, and awkward summer love. Their relationship just seemed so perfect. But as her pregnancy progressed, Gavin began acting strange. He was distant and quiet when they were home. Then he began disappearing at all hours of the night, claiming to be going for walks to help him sleep. One night, Phoebe woke up to an empty bed and decided to go find him. As she neared their local grocery store, where she thought he would be, she stumbled into a scene she would never be able to scrub from her mind. Gavin was beating a man to a pulp in an alleyway before slitting the man’s throat. When she screamed at him, asking what he was doing, Gavin’s only response was “My name isn’t Gavin”.
