Nato a Londra, Derek vive in Italia da più di 25 anni. È docente di inglese presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano, scrive di letteratura anglo-americana (ma anche di moda, calcio e più ne hai …) e traduce tutto quello che gli capita. Rinomato speaker, doppiatore e presentatore, nonché attore di teatro, Derek non sta mai fermo: he has ants in his pants. Ama il pesto, tifa Tottenham e odia la Brexit. Nessuno, dice, è perfetto.

All You Can Speak si rivolge agli italiani che si trovano improvvisamente senza parole quando parlano in inglese. Nel mondo di oggi soltanto un vocabolario ricco e attuale ti può dare quella famosa marcia in più. I gesti non bastano. Giocoso e istruttivo allo stesso tempo, AYCS spacca e aiuta a spaccare.
