L. Frank Baum: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: Follow the Yellow Brick Road for adventure and fun

Who hasn't heard of the little Kansas girl Dorothy Gale and her dog Toto who were swept up in a tornado and landed, smack dab on the head of the evil witch in the magical Land of Oz? Nobody, that's who. If you have seen the movie, you will enjoy the exciting narration of the book from which it was taken. This is indeed the entire original book exactly as Baum wrote it, with all of the scary scenes and heart warming episodes. As Baum says in the introduction "It aspires to being a modernized fairy tale, in which the wonderment and joy are retained and the heartaches and nightmares are left out." And it succeeds wonderfully. It is one of the best-known stories in American popular culture and has been widely translated into many languages.
