Nihilism: A Note on the Philosophical School

To speak of nihilism is to open a door into a house without foundations—a place where meaning, value, and truth are neither fixed nor given, but rather interrogated, dismantled, and, in many cases, left unresolved. This book is an exploration of that house. The sense of dislocation in modernity, the critique of grand narratives in postmodern thought, and the growing cynicism in contemporary culture all bear its imprint. The book considers these dimensions, asking: Is nihilism a stage to pass through, a condition to resist, or a destiny to accept?

We live in a time where old certainties are evaporating. Faith in institutions, in objective truth, in progress itself—these have all eroded under the weight of history and disillusionment. In this context, nihilism is no longer merely a theoretical position; it becomes a cultural mood, a philosophical atmosphere. Understanding it is not just an intellectual exercise—it is a necessity.
