This not only includes Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, but it also includes his more controversial The Hobbit series. Yes, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is arguably the most popular franchise in film history, but LOTR will always hold a special place in the hosts’ hearts.
