Klassískar bókmenntir
In the Scottish canon to be placed alongside Burns is high praise indeed. But it’s a rightful place for one of Scotland’s finest novelists and poets.
Robert Louis Stevenson was born on the 13th November 1850 in Edinburgh. Despite ill-health he managed to cram much into his 44 years, travelling widely to France, the States, Australia and for the last years of his life, on his estate in Samoa in the South Seas.
He is widely feted for his many classics including ‘Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde’, ‘Treasure Island’ and poetry volumes such as ‘A Child’s Garden of Verses’.
Robert Louis Stevenson died on 3rd December 1894.
