11-07-25 Part Two - Consumer Affordability

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, former Vice President Dick Cheney, a force in Republican politics for over 30 years and one of the most powerful people to hold the second-highest office in the U.S., died Tuesday. He was 84. In a statement, Cheney's family said he died Monday night of complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, surrounded by his wife of 61 years, Lynne, daughters Liz and Mary and other family members. Before becoming vice president in the George W. Bush administration, Cheney served as defense secretary, White House chief of staff and a Wyoming congressman. Also Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced airspace restrictions Wednesday as the ongoing federal government shutdown continues to affect the nation’s transportation system, some Democratic senators may be getting on board to help open the Government and the President's "nuclear option".

11-06-25 Part One - Remembering Dick Cheney

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Justice Amy Coney Barrett had pointed questions Wednesday about the law Donald Trump invoked to impose global tariffs, joining several other justices on the right and left in voicing skepticism about the president’s ability to use a tool he has deemed critical to carrying out his economic agenda. Solicitor General John Sauer repeatedly argued during the lengthy 2½-hour oral arguments that the emergency law Trump used to enact the tariffs for nearly every U.S. trading partner contained language about regulating imports, which Sauer said included using tariffs. The relevant statute permits the president to "regulate … nullify [and] void … importation," but it does not use the word "tariff."

As expected Zohran Mamdani will become the mayor of New York City and for the first time in decades the city will be led by a socialist/communist. Also Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he will impose a steep tariff on New Yorkers moving to his state after voting on Election Day ends, a variety of propositions are passed in Texas and the government shutdown centers around liberals wanting health care without paying for it.

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, during Thursday's NYC mayoral debate, moderators asked candidates Andrew Cuomo, Zohran Mamdani, and Curtis Sliwa who supported mayor Kathy Hochul and none of them raised their hands or offered an immediate endorsement. Also ex-National Security Advisor John Bolton was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday with 18 counts of the improper handling of classified documents and we learn the sad news that one of the founding members of KISS has died. Ace Frehley was taken off life suport Thursday afternoon after falling in his studio last week. The news of his death leaves fans and fellow musicians worldwide in shock. Ace Frehley was 74.
