Donald Leslie Hancock (known as Don Hancock) was a Western Australian policeman. He is principally known for his involvement in the controversial investigation of the Perth Mint Swindle, and his death in a car bombing in 2001. to those who knew him he was an honest man who never set a foot wrong. however what is less known is his rumoured involvement in fabricating evidence against the mickelburg brothers, who were suspected of stealing gold form the Perth mint. he was also rumoured to have killed brothel owner Shirley Finn in 1975 sadly he died before he could be questioned.

the question remains: was he a corrupt cop and cold blooded killer or was he simply an innocent person as people have claimed?
