Spring finally arrives in Sunny Land. Fenek’s parents have a lot of gardening work to do. Will our friend become their little helper?
Thanks to this book, your child will: • learn about spring, the first season of the year;
 • learn the names of tools used in the garden, and what they are used for;
 • get to know the name of a spring flower and find out where its name comes from;
 • find out how nice it is to help his/her parents;
 • understand what “protected plants” are, and what we should never do with them.
Interesting ways of spending time with your child:
Go for a walk with your child. Watch carefully the plants you come across and try to name them. Check the names of the plants you do not know on the Internet or in an encyclopaedia. It is the best way to teach your child to get new information. Good luck!

Spring in the garden: The Adventures of Fenek

Finally, it’s holiday time! Fenek and his parents have decided to spend it at the seaside. Are they safe on the beach? 
Thanks to this book, your child will:
- learn about summer; 

- get to know some beach safety rules;

- find out what the job of a lifeguard is about;

- find out about the equipment used by a lifeguard: a tall chair, binoculars and a rescue buoy;

- find out why it is necessary to use sunscreen and how to do it. 
Interesting ways of spending time with your child:
Take your child for a swim. Talk to him/her about beach safety, lake safety, and swimming pool safety. Show him/her pictures of a lifeguard and his/her equipment. Make binoculars together, for example using paper towel rolls.

Summer at the Seaside: The Adventures of Fenek

Fenek and his best friend Max the kitten visit his grandparents’ orchard. To his surprise, he discovers great treasures there. Can you guess what they are?
Thanks to this book, your child will: • pay attention to safety rules when travelling by car;
 • learn what an orchard is;
 • learn about how fruits grow;
 • get to know the names of some fruit trees;
 • find out what we can make of fruits that ripen in autumn. 
Interesting ways of spending time with your child:
Take different types of fruits and talk with your child about their shapes and colours. Try to name the way they feel when you touch them. Make a fruit salad or fruit shashliks together. Taste the fruits with your eyes closed, and try to recognize them by the flavour. Cut an apple in half, and look at what an apple core looks like. Plant the seeds of any piece of fruit in a flowerpot.

The Treasures of Autumn: The Adventures of Fenek

Fenek is fast asleep. He doesn’t expect the wonderful white surprise waiting behind the window. Can you guess what it is?
Thanks to this book, your child will: • learn where snow comes from;
 • learn that snowflakes differ in shape;
 • get to know different parts of the winter wardrobe;
 • revise colours: red, green, yellow, blue, and orange.
Interesting ways of spending time with your child:
Take all the pieces of your winter clothing and gather it all in one place in front of you. Give them names together, and try to establish their colours. Ask your child to find objects in the room that are of the same colours as the clothes. You can also get some summer clothes ready and place them among the winter wear. Your child’s task will be to select the ones that are suitable for the winter. Let your child put on his/her winter cap, zip the jacket up, or put on the gloves on his/her own.
