Nina Raine's Rabbit was first performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre, London, in 2006. It subsequently transferred to the Trafalgar Studios in the West End, before playing at the Brits Off Broadway festival in New York in 2007. The play won Nina Raine both the Evening Standard and Critics' Circle Awards for Most Promising Playwright in 2006.
