Rufus M.

Beloved children's author Eleanor Estes has been the recipient of the Newbery Medal, several Newbery Honors, and the Certificate of Award for Outstanding Contribution to Children's Literature. Rufus Moffat, a very lively and creative boy, stars in this charming tale set in the 1910s. Rufus is seven and he has two older sisters and one older brother. Rufus has many adventures. During one adventure he gets a library card all by himself, even before he can read! Other days, Rufus plays baseball with his sister. Rufus loves baseball, but he also hopes the team will take lots of breaks for cookies and punch. Young listeners will delight in Christina Moore's spirited narration.
