In my ambitious attempt to recreate the local gift shop, I’ve put things so far into the red that I might lose the family store that’s been passed down for generations. To make matters worse, I’m ninety-nine percent certain that my mysteriously handsome neighbor read the foreclosure notice.

I’ve gone to extensive lengths to avoid Brayden Young since he confessed the mail mix-up.

But when my meddlesome mother announces an unexpected visit, I’m desperate to keep the store’s financial troubles a secret from her. It’s the only reason I go along with Brayden’s crazy plan to fake a relationship and get both our overbearing mothers off our backs.
