Sadly the quality of the audiofile leaves the otherwise excellent narrator sounding like a bleating lamb during some parts. Thanks to the excellent education by our English teacher, I think I understand this book better than the analyses I found. An enjoyable read, yet, although it is the obvious intent of the author that the heroine be a Mary-Sue, modern readers will surely wish that Evelina showed some of Elizabeth Bennet's spunk every now and then.
