Fantasy & SciFi
Book two of the next great fantasy LitRPG series by Seth Ring, author of Nova Terra. Explore a world whose secrets have been buried under decades of war. Mixing slice-of-life with epic fantasy action, mystery, magic, cultivation, and a broken game system that seems determined to make everything as hard as possible for the already overpowered protagonist, this LitRPG/GameLit series is perfect for readers who enjoy exploring rich worlds and complex characters.

I like the story and the setting, but it has a lot of problems. The doom points are an interesting idea, but are really failing at this point. The problem with having an overpowered character is that you need a good reason for bad things to happen. You need an even better reason when you then also give that character a spell to come up with good plans. There wasn't a good reason. He could've lived. The writer also writes things they think are epic without considering how realistic something would be. This turns epic scenes into terrible scenes if you think about what is supposedly happening. I almost couldn't finish the book, but I did and I hope that the next one will be better.
