Being a fan of The Poppy War books, unfortunately this book doesn't keep up. But if I look at 'Daughter of the Moon Goddess' as a fantasy plot with romance as the main focus, while I have 'The Alchemy of Souls' (K-drama on Netflix) fresh in my mind, the story becomes quite magical and enchanting, and I actually loved it!I loved how the author weaved mythology into a beautiful lovestory with hope, betrayal and dreams. I loved the use of the elements; the sun and the moon. Water, fire, earth and air. Magical powers. I also loved the dragons - although I still can't manage to accept talking animals in books …- and I was actually really engaged by the love triangle drama that unfolded. The main character, she was so hot-tempered and stubborn and even rude to the Crown prince. Not quite sure what I think about them being able to fly around on clouds yet ... But I accepted the premise anyway and enjoyed reading ‘Daughter of the Moon Goddess’.
