Inte bara överskattad utan rent ut sagt dålig. Måste hejda mig från ett långt utlägg men kan säga att Coelho känns som en försäljare som försöker pracka på en sina "djupa" insikter. Det blir snabbt tjatigt.

Coelho begins the novel by introducing the legend of Narcissus with a paradoxical view. In a nutshell, the story is based on a Shepherd who embarks on a journey to realise his dream that he saw of finding a hidden treasure near the pyramids of Egypt. He travels through the hardships of the Sahara desert in the search of his personal legend. While he meets a number of people who bring about a change in his life, the gypsy woman, the mysterious king, the pious merchant, Fatima, the proud desert woman, the English man and the alchemist. He learns to listen to his heart, to follow it's instructions, to keep faith in the destiny, to love unconditionally, to be fearless, to live in the present, to feel the soul of the universe and to understand the omens. The use of metaphors, allegories and those amazing anecdotes enhances it's beauty to a different level. It creates a great impact on you which lingers for quite a while. "Maktub"

Älskade den. Fin, enkel filosofisk läsning. Gav mig mycket. Den talar om det mänskliga bortom det uppenbara. De som menar att den är ”platt” eller inte intellektuell beskriver nog snarare sig själva, och sin oförmåga att koppla till sina spirituella sidor. Men, alla är olika.

En bok som alla bör läsa minst 1 gång och lyssna på!

First time I read it, I thought it is a love story. Now, 12 years later rereading it, I know it is a story about finding your true self and fighting for your dreams.

Amazing and so inspiring too💗

What I got out of the this book is that I should keep trying to find myself but yet I have to listen carefully to my heart and what it truly wants not what what the noise around me is suggesting.Great book 🥰
