I'd say this is my second favourite Helen Harper series. It's the one most similar to her Slouch Witch series (which is my favourite) and has a similar sense of humour. Saffron is nothing like Ivy from Slouch Witch. Saffron is hard working and driven. Nothing at all like Ivy. But the tone of the series is similar. It's easy to fall in love with Saffron, and I urge everyone to give her a try.
