Kenny Lloyd, while enjoying the solitude of nature witnesses a murder from his hunting stand in the middle of a secluded North Louisiana forest. Almost discovered by the murderer, he wants to do the right thing by reporting what he saw, but he soon discovers that word gets around pretty fast in a small southern town; so fast that within hours, the hunter is now the hunted.

The killer is on Kenny’s trail from the moment he reports the crime and will stop at nothing to make him disappear including locking him inside his own camper trailer and towing him away for termination. But Kenny, not intent on being a scared, passive victim, turns his fear and anger into action by implementing his own plans against the killer.

He trusts no one until he meets Carrie, a smart, striking young doctor who he surreptitiously enlists to aid him in his pursuit of the murderer. But as their affection and romance grows, so does the danger to Carrie’s life.

Lives are often intertwined in a southern small town which makes for intriguing and troublesome complications. Even the Sheriff, while trying to protect Kenny and pursue this ruthless killer, discovers that he is linked to the killer’s past and must decide whether to exceed his law enforcement boundaries to end this killer’s mission.
