66 Rewind

Buzz McGinnis, a retired widower, owns a classic 1960 DeSoto Fireflite automobile of which he is very proud. He wants to display it, on the Road. The ‘Road’ being US Highway 66, the iconic ‘Route 66.’ Buzz plans to drive the Road from his home in the Chicago suburbs to the West Coast. Solo. His nephew, Lon McGinnis, believes Buzz, at seventy-seven years of age, is not up to it, neither mentally nor physically. But Buzz possesses the resolve to make the trip and a mysterious guide book. One that will not only lead him along the way, but will, as Buzz comes to find out, mysteriously take him, joined by his nephew, to places where the Road was alive and at its peak.

6 REWIND combines historical and geographic facts about the famous Road with suspenseful adventures and baffling episodes, as our travelers learn first-hand about the spirit of Route 66 in its heyday, and how it remains today.
